"Sometimes you get the best light from a burning bridge" Many of us afraid to burn our bridges, both in our personal and professional lives, even when we know that our present situation does not serve us well. We afraid what others may think, what they may say, or how our actions may impact our life in the future, should we take certain actions to leave our past and present behind in search of better and brighter opportunities that may get us closer to our life's purpose and happiness.

"Whoever is happy will make others happy too" Positive energy and positive focus are contagious, same works the other way around. Therefore, I am a firm believer that if we want for those around us to be happy and positive, then we must be the source of that positive energy, smile more often, and remember that all challenges and tough times are temporary and eventually get replaced by something good, including wins and success that we achieve though hard work and growth mindset.
"Education isn't something you can finish" One thing is certain - we never stop learning new information as we go through life. That is why I think that it is important to always seek and acquire new knowledge, new skills and experiences through self-education, personal development, training, etc. Even the information that we do know today, may change, may evolve, may expand with new facts, ideas, theories. Therefore, don't assume that what we know is all that there is to know, because you will be surprised to learn how far such thought is from the truth. Don't you agree?
"A ship is always safe a shore but that is not what it's built for" If we never take risks, if we never allow ourselves to step outside of the box because we are afraid of changes or failure, we would never know what we could have achieved if we simply believed in ourselves and just try. Sure, we can always stay in the same 'safe' place where we feel secure, where we do not face any competition or where we are not being challenged, however, just like ship that never leaves the shipyard, our present will also remain in the same place - world of wants and hopes.
"Risk is the probability of an irreversible negative outcome" There will always be risk, and there will always be the time when we as human beings must make a decision - Do we accept the risk and the probability of failure or success, or do we do nothing and hope for things to change? I believe that all risk must be calculated and well thought through, especially when our actions may have an impact on other people.
" Not my circus. Not my monkeys" Often, many of us tend to mind someone else's business and place ourselves into everything that is happening in the lives of others, when, in reality, it has nothing to do with us. We engage into conversations and situations when it is best to just stay away. And, as often happens, we sometimes get blamed when things don't go according to plan, when in our mind, all we were trying to do was to help and offer guidance. So, why not instead of minding someone else's business, we begin minding our own business, in our own life, allowing others to do as they see fit, based on how they see things in their own mind in any given situation. I think that such approach is fair and respectful of everyone involved. Don't you agree?
"We must find time to stop and thank the people who make a difference in our lives" Life could have been very different if certain people were not in our lives. I know that I have been in many tough situations in my life over the years, however, certain individuals - my best friend and my wife were always there to help me to get through those rough patches in life, and help me find the solutions or answers that I was seeking. If it wasn't for these people being present in my life, things would have been much, much, harder. Therefore, I believe it is very important to recognize and say thank you to those people in our life who have made a difference, who were there when we need it the most. Thank you! You know who you are :)
"Cultivate the habit of being grateful for every good thing that comes to you, and to give thanks continuously. And because all things have contributed to your advancement, you should include all things in your gratitude" Being grateful for everything good that comes our way sounds like a no brainer. However, surprisingly we often forget all the good things that we have in our life, and instead choose to focus on all the bad and negative. Then, we get surprised when we start seeing more negative in our own life every day. There will always be good and bad situations that we will encounter throughout our life, so what's important is not to dwell on all the challenges that we face and, instead, be grateful for all the good that is surrounding us, and do so on the daily basis.
"Humility is really important because it keeps you fresh and new" Being humble can be a very difficult thing for some of us to accept and embrace, because, we want to be the center of attention and recognition among others - our friends, our peers, our colleagues. However, humility and the quality of being humble could be highly rewarding by many as a quality, because, instead of continuously pointing the spotlight onto ourselves, someone who is humble does not require the spotlight to show everyone what he or she is capable of. Humility is visible, recognized, and respected by those who take time to listen, observe, and learn actions and objectives set by everyone involved.
"Energy and persistence conquer all things" I like how both energy and persistence were mentioned in this quote, because, you can't really achieve set goals and objectives with only one of the two. Persistence without energy is like a fast car without gas - looks great, has components needed to reach the finish line fast, but due to absence of fuel is unable to move. Same goes for energy and persistence, one needs to have both in order to reach the finish line. One may have strong persistence and ability to achieve great things, but without energy all it is going to be are just skills that are not being used to create progress, because, energy simply isn't there.
